Ms. Burkett, managing partner in Burkett & Sanderson, Inc., was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1990 after graduating from Capital University Law School in 1989. She founded her own firm, The Law Offices of Kristin Burkett, in November, 1990, and admitted Mr. Sanderson to partnership in Burkett & Sanderson, Inc. in 2006. Experienced in conducting all phases of the representation of criminal defendants in federal and state felony and misdemeanor cases, she is as well a Criminal Justice Act approved Federal Attorney qualified to act as counsel in capital murder prosecutions in the Southern District of Ohio. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Licking County Bar Association, the Fairfield County Bar Association, and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is admitted to practice as an attorney in the Southern District of Ohio. Ms. Burkett currently serves as President of the Board of Trustees for the Ohio State Bar Foundation and on the Executive Committee of the Licking County Bar Association.
